OK, the craziness surrounding the speculation of who Obama's VP will be is getting insane. First, there's Fox News, which is always a good place to check when you are talking insanity. They have a headline up right now: Waiting for Obama: Veep Announcement Builds to Frenzied Standstill. So, people aren't moving, but doing it in a very quick way? Nice use of oxymoron, Fox.

Next is this blog post which speculates as to the selection with an amusing and unique twist.

I just want both Obama AND McCain to name Leiberman as their VP candidate.

"As your guaranteed VP, I promise..."

Are there rules against doing that? Can you run on both tickets? ;)

I don't think the parties themselves would let someone run on both tickets, but I don't think there are any laws preventing it. Heck, early on, there wasn't the concept of a ticket, and early presidents had political rivals thrust into the role of their VP because they were the runner-up in the election.
